SAVE ME!

Enlarge poem

Truly see me
Please don’t look right through me
Hear me!
Not make believe you listen!
Take cognizance of the tears I dare not shed, bruises I dare not relate
Notice how I cringe in fear
Cover my stain, my reproach
I call for you to save me!

Without…. A virginal facade
Within a plundered WRECK!
My innocence stolen, my cover a RUSE!
WHY?
WHY won’t you protect me?
From the smile that destroys
And the touch that annihilates?
I cry for you to save me!

A tender bud
To him, sexual gratification
A new shoot
To her, secret pleasures
LISTEN!
Hear my words unspoken
Be SENTIENT!
Feel the depths of my anguish
In silence my plea rings
Loud and Clear
In abstract my request stands
Firm and Strong
SAVE ME!
SAVE ME!
If only YOU would……
SAVE ME!

I’m that thought you can’t ignore
You ruminate, still an enigma I remain
No known mould for you to fit me in
To understand me
You first need know what defines me

Don’t fix me being like non else
Waste no time judging me for little do you know
Perplex not your mind in the complexity that is me
For to understand me
You first need know what defines me

Moi…. Bright light that gives chase to darkness
Seasoning…… Very taste in life
The pouch of wisdom, pathway pointer
To understand me
You first need know what defines me

Free your mind from all that delude
Put aside superfluity, surfeit of nothingness
STOP!
Be grateful!
Smell the flowers, breathe the air!
To understand and truly know what defines YOU.
