Poetry Podcasts dedicated to African Poets

Badilisha Poetry Radio is the only poetry podcast platform exclusively dedicated to the voices of Africa and its Diaspora.

Each week, we present a range of extraordinary new voices and poetic genres. Our intention is to platform who and what Africa has to say to itself and the rest of the world.  As such, we are constantly seeking new poets to showcase and would therefore welcome your recommendations of Pan-African poets that are not yet featured. Please submit them here.

Badilisha is a project of the Africa Centre.

*Badilisha: is a Kiswahili expression denoting change, exchange and transformation.

This site is available in French and Portuguese – click on the links in the top left. The main information has been translated, however, the information on the poets and the introduction to the poems remain in English. The poems remain in their original language. The podcasts are introduced in English.

Badilisha and IndieFeed Performance Poetry are sharing poets!
