“Africa is alive wherever Africans are living.”

A simple yet potent comment made by Nigerian poet Uche Nduka (at our Africa Day Celebration, 25th May 2009, Cape Town). This immensely rich and growing database of Pan-African poets reflects the myriad of perspectives by poets who project their voices, views and aspirations from all corners of the globe, expressed in just as many ways.

The poets listed here are either featured via podcasts on Badilisha Radio or have participated in Badilisha Live events held in South Africa. To recommend Pan-African poets that we should feature, please email Linda Kaoma (lindak@africacentre.net) or click here to submit a MP3 of your own recorded poetry and a brief biography.
