Biography:
Renowned poet and playwright, Lemn Sissay is currently artist in
residence at The South Bank Centre, London. He is the author of five
poetry collections and among his numerous accolades is the 2006 RIMA
Award for his play Something Dark, which was also adapted for BBC Radio
3.
Lemn Sissay's experience of being raised in care and foster homes, and his consequent successful search for his family all over the world, has informed the narrative of his adult life. He enjoys an illustrious international profile, presenting his work in India, Australia, America, Canada, Sweden, The Arctic, Italy and Germany.
