“Africa is alive wherever Africans are living.”
A simple, but potent, reminder passed on by Nigerian poet Uche Nduka (said at our 25th May 2009 Africa Day Celebration).
This immensely rich and growing database of Pan-African poets reflects the myriad of perspectives by poets who project their voices and messages from all corners of the globe, expressed in just as many ways.
The poets listed here have been featured via podcasts on Badilisha Radio or have participated in Badilisha Live events held in South Africa.
